Step 1 — Export first (optional but smart)
If you want a copy of your conversations, use the app’s export/download feature before deleting anything. Under GDPR/CCPA you can also formally request a copy. Confirm the file is complete before moving on.
Step 2 — Delete the account in-app
Find Settings → Account → Delete account (wording varies). This removes the visible account, but may not immediately clear server-side copies or backups.
